Welcome to our website. We hope
you will
enjoy seeing all of our
lovely dogs and puppies.
We love
them with all our hearts and our
family
operation takes pride in
assuring their comfort
and
happiness.
The idea for our business first
surfaced around
the year 2000
when we were looking for a hobby
for our daughter, which was also
when we were
first introduced to
the cavalier. Not long
after, we
had 8 of them while still living in a
sub-urban development. They were
a big hit with
our neighbors, and
we often had children
stopping by
to spend hours at a time with our
dogs. Soon after we bought and
fixed up an
old Quaker farm first
erected in the early 19th
century,
which has turned into our dream
come
true.
All 4 of us have since seen the
happiest days of
our lives. Terry is
soon to retire from a
long career
with the Social Security
Administration and looks forward
to a fulfilling
hobby as a full time
breeder. Candy, who
retired from
Real Estate more than a decade
ago,
has found a new lease on life.
Jonathan,
who is also a part time
private music instructor
has taken a
heavy interest in the trade.
Erin
plans to show our beloved dogs
and is also
in training to become a
Vet Tech.
In addition to the family, we also
employ a dear
friend Joanne who
helps around the kennel, but
specializes in the photography of
our little
friends and is the
definition of a cavalier
lover.
Catherine, a lovely Kutztown Grad.
Student and daycare provider, has
been with us a
long time and has
provided invaluable aid in
keeping
our dogs up to date with their
worming
medications and
immunization shots.
Dena is a middle school aged girl
who has been
invaluable assisting
in the daily clean up and
handling
of our puppies. She has always
been a reliable assistant to
Catherine in
administering
vaccinations as well. Alyssa
is a
college aged young woman who
carries the
unique task of caring for
our infant puppies.
She aides the
mother dogs in nursing their
puppies and always has our nursery
clean as a
whistle.
Lou is a great friend of the family
and also an
indispensible
handyman who can fix anything.
He mostly specializes in building
projects and
fixing broken
equipment, which means he is here
a lot. Our second handyman Jim,
who has
been around dogs and
horses his whole life,
handles
landscaping duties, mowing,
fencing, and
any other warm
weather activities. We have
him to
thank for our lovely flower beds,
well
kept dog and horse fields, and
our small but
growing vegetable
garden.
We employ the regular services of
a professional
Veterinarian who
specializes in small breed dogs
and
puppies. All of our little breeders
are checked for any eye, hip, knee
and heart
issues. If anything comes
up that would
jeopardize the health
and happiness of a genetic
line, the
dog is not bred and is placed as a
rescue with a loving family that is
adequately
prepared to cater to
their special needs.
Our facility is located on a
wonderful small 23
acre farm in
rural eastern Pennsylvania,
surrounded by pristine forests,
fields, and
creeks. In addition to
providing several
fields for our
dogs and puppies to exercise in,
our barn serves as a refuge for a
group of
neutered rescue cats who
keep our barn pest
free.
We keep our infant puppies and
mothers in an air
conditioned,
regularly cleaned nursery located
in our house for close supervision.
From
the later stages of pregnancy
until the puppies
are ready to join
the ones in our barn kennel
for
public viewing, they are kept warm
in a
facility prepped to provide all
needed
immunizations to live a
happy, long life.
Part of our house also serves as an
infirmary,
just in case a
communicable illness such as a
cold is contracted by one of our
puppies or
dogs. The room has
many windows to provide
a sunny
atmosphere to encourage a quick
recovery, and is prepped with
nebulizers,
medications, and other
apparatus to insure that
every need
of our precious dogs is met, under
the close supervision of our
veterinarian.
We also operate a small horses
rescue on 10
acres of our field
property, where we currently
keep
11 horses that were bought away
from the
meat buyers. Most of
them range in age
from 10 to 14
years old, are in good health, and
are saddle trained for easy riding.
We
look forward to providing them
with 10 to 15
more years of healthy
living, happily grazing in
our lush,
grassy fields.
If you want to meet our puppies,
